the wild speculation.

The Watchmen comic and movie all state there is a universal lets say a DEW (Directed Energy Weapon) fired from Antarctica as it is untraceable. This DEW explosion takes out 7 major cities across the world. The blame is on Dr Manhatten in the story. But the richest man in the world (ahem Trump/Putin). Made the DEW specially to unify the world and blame it on someone out there in the outer space.

So…..

Exchange that DEW weapon for a UFO / Asteroid story that falls indiscriminately on the earth taking out seven cities or so. Thus unifying the worlds government to build a protective dome to save us from these UFO/ asteroids.

Sounds like science fiction right….

So as the world grieves, morns, tweets and tik-tok dances about the strange tragedy that defines the paradigm shift over to globalisation. The cannon moment of which Russia will most probably be in the lead as global hegemon. Mostly due to its ability to display squeaky clean virtues that seem stable and well ordered no matter the chaos.

Wild Speculation that everyone will go all rubbery for the control and beg for a unified space force or STAR WARS programme, or maybe call it something really catchy like space force. USSF.
